On the eastern side of the mountains lays a vast desert, complete with dunes and cacti. It rarely rains here, and the weather is considered unbearably hot for all except those who were built for it. Tall mesas provide good lookout points for those looking to get a better lay of the land.
A large basin where water can be found year-round, having drained from surrounding segments of the desert. During warmer seasons there is considerably less water available and what can be found tends to be highly toxic due to heavy metals leeching from the soil. Desperate beings trying to cross the desert are lured here all the same, making it a dangerous place for anyone in need of food, drink, or solace. Do not be caught here at night, as that is when the area becomes most dangerous.
